Mirror Prox Algorithm for Large-Scale Cell-Free Massive MIMO Uplink Power Control

We consider the problem of max-min fairness for uplink cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) subject to per-user power constraints. The standard framework solving considered is separately solve two subproblems: receiver filter coefficient design and control problem. While former has a closed-form solution, latter been solved using either second-order methods high computational complexity or first-order method that provides an approximate solution. To deal with these drawbacks existing methods, we propose mirror prox based by equivalently reformulating it as convex-concave applying algorithm find saddle point. simulation results establish optimality proposed solution demonstrate more efficient than known methods. also conclude large-scale MIMO, joint optimization linear receive combining significantly better user only scheme in which coefficients are fixed unity.
